DCSO’s Street Enforcement Team Arrests Two Drug Traffickers

Minden, NV-  On Thursday, July 7th, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team (SET) working in conjunction with the Tri-Net Task Force and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force arrested two individuals in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Store on Grant Avenue in Gardnerville, NV.  The arrests were the culmination of a short investigation into the drug trafficking activities of David Wright, a 56-year-old male from the southern California area. 

SET had been conducting undercover negotiations with David Wright for the delivery of one pound of methamphetamine.  Mr. Wright agreed to deliver the one pound of methamphetamine to the parking lot of the Wal-Mart Store.  Once Mr. Wright delivered the methamphetamine, he was arrested.

Also, in the vehicle with Mr. Wright was Sung Lee a 56-year-old Asian male from the southern California area.  Mr. Wright delivered approximately 462 grams of methamphetamine, but also in Mr. Wright’s vehicle was another approximately 82.3 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 8.7 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms.

Mr. Lee was found to have approximately 7.9 grams of methamphetamine on his person at the time of his arrest. 

Mr. Wright was booked into the Douglas County Jail and charged with a high level of trafficking a controlled substance, sales of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance. All charges are of a felony level.  Mr. Wright’s bail was set at $100,000
