Minden, NV – On Wednesday, March 20, 2024, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31 year-old Valeriu Monchamp for attempted lewdness with a child under 16 years of age, luring a child, using a child to produce pornography, and indecent or obscene exposure in the presence of a child.
During the course of the investigation, information was obtained indicating Monchamp was sending sexually obscene material to a minor, and told the minor he had been sexually attracted to her for approximately two years. The messages Monchamp sent to the minor depicted evidence of child grooming.
Monchamp is currently in custody at the Douglas County Jail in Minden. He is being held on $225,649 bail.
