MINDEN, Nev. (Sept. 15, 2025)––The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reports that Michael Jocoboni was located on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, after a public request for assistance..
DCSO Deputies received a tip that a subject matching Jocoboni's description was walking on the dirt portion of Vicki Lane, in Minden, Nevada.
The individual was, in fact, Jocoboni, and when deputies attempted to arrest him, he shot himself once in the head. Jocoboni had stolen a handgun from his father the day before, when he cut his ankle monitor off.
Lifesaving efforts were immediately started by deputies, and Jocoboni was flown by helicopter to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada. Jocoboni succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at Renown.
