Plane Crash Reported at Minden-Tahoe Airport

Update September 16, 2024 3:39 p.m. The Minden-Tahoe Airport is now fully open. 

Minden, NV - The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a mid-air collision, which happened at the Minden-Tahoe Airport at 9:47 a.m. on September 16, 2024. One aircraft was able to make a landing at the airport, while the other crashed into a field off Highway 395 near Johnson Lane.

One fatality is confirmed at this time. The airport is currently closed. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.
