Douglas County Sheriff's Office Arrests Man Suspected of Attempted Lewdness with a Child, Other Charges
Minden, NV – On Monday, February 26, 2024, members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division, in coordination with the Douglas County Street Enforcement Team, arrested 32 year old Richard Fraser for attempted lewdness with a child under 16 years of age, luring a child, using a child to produce pornography, and indecent or obscene exposure in the presence of a child. 
During the course of the investigation, information was obtained indicating Fraser was propositioning to meet the minor under 16 years of age through the use of Facebook. The messages Fraser sent to the minor depicted evidence of child grooming and talk of sexual intercourse.
The case was reported to DCSO. DCSO Investigations was made aware of the case, and a DCSO Deputy began an undercover sting conversing with Richard. A date, time, location, and sexual acts were agreed upon between Richard and the undercover DCSO Deputy through text messaging.
At the predetermined date, time, and location previously agreed upon for Richard to meet the minor to have sexual intercourse, Richard was instead contacted by DCSO Detectives and arrested. Fraser is currently in custody at the Douglas County Jail in Minden, Nevada. He is being held on $155,012 bail.
