Minden, NV – In the early morning hours of Wednesday, June 14, 2023, Investigators of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team (DCSET)—working in conjunction with officers of the Tri-Net Task Force and DCSO Investigations—served search and arrest warrants at residences located at 735 Lassen Way in Gardnerville, NV, and 1330 Stodick Parkway Apt # D-12, in Gardnerville, NV.
The warrants were served as part of two separate months-long investigations into the illegal sales of methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms, along with charges of child abuse. The investigations involved 51-year-old Carrie Rhodehouse and 35-year-old Janie Phillips.
During service of a search warrant at 735 Lassen Way, Investigators recovered and seized numerous items related to the illicit sales and possession of controlled substances. During the execution of the search and arrest warrants, multiple adults were located within the residence along with a 3-year-old child.
Carrie Rhodehouse was arrested for her warrants related to the drug sales, drug possession, and child abuse. Rhodehouse’s charges are: Five (5) counts of sales of a controlled substance; Three (3) counts of allowing a child to be present during the commission of a controlled substance violation; One (1) count of child abuse; One (1) count of possession of a controlled substance for sales; and One (1) count of maintaining a place for unlawful use of a controlled substance. Rhodehouse’s bail was set at $125,003.
52-year-old Jason MeGee was located within the residence and subsequently arrested for convicted felon failure to register along with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. MeGee’s bail was set at $6,283.
The 3-year-old was subsequently released to Child Protective Services (CPS).
During the service of a search warrant served at 1330 Stodick Parkway Apartments #D-12, Investigators recovered and seized numerous items related to the illicit sales and possession of controlled substances, including methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms. Residents Janie Phillips and her significant other, 43-year-old Luke Reeves, were arrested at the scene. Two children related to Janie Phillips, a 7-year-old and 6-year-old, were present in the home and later released to the custody of Child Protective Services.
Janie Phillips was arrested for the following: Five (5) counts of child abuse; Five (5) counts of sales of a controlled substance; Five (5) counts of allowing a child to be present during the commission of a controlled substance violation; and One (1) count of maintaining a place for unlawful use of a controlled substance. Janie Phillips’ bail was set at $110,646.
Luke Reeves’ was arrested for the following: Three (3) counts of possession of controlled substance and One (1) count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Luke’s bail was set at $15,649.
