DCSO JailMoney can be put on an inmate's account Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Jail Administration office.

It is required to show a form of identification when placing money onto an inmate's account.

To put money on an inmate's account, you can use credit card, debit card, cash and money orders. If you are using a credit card, call the Jail Administration at (775) 782-9945. Credit card charges over the phone are limited to $50.00 per week. No personal checks are accepted.

The above forms of payment are accepted in person, over the phone and via mail. There is no way to accept money for commissary online.

How Inmate Accounts Work

An inmate may use money in his or her account to purchase hygiene items, writing supplies, snacks, and to pay for fees. Other people besides family may deposit money into an inmate's account.


Depositing Money for an Inmate in Person

Money may be deposited in person in into an inmate's account at the Jail Administration office. Types of payment that may be used in person are cash, debit card, and credit card. Bring a form of identification.

Depositing Money for an Inmate over the Phone

If you are using a credit card, call the Jail Administration at (775) 782-9945. Credit card charges over the phone are limited to $50.00 per week. The office will accept debit card over the phone as well.


Depositing Money to an Inmate via Mail

Money orders are accepted by mail. In order for a money order to be payable to an inmate include inmate's booking number. You may send cash, but we don't recommend it.
